That’s why a unit with lower capacity needs servicing more often to balance comfort, energy consumption, and performance. The same happens if you install a smaller-than-required HVAC system. A unit that runs 24 hours a day experiences more wear and tear and pressure as compared to one that only operates 6 to 8 hours daily.
